Ruby Johnson Perry, 85

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Ruby Johnson Perry, 85, mother of Brenda Cochran (Carter) Crump and widow of William Hubert Perry, passed away Sat. Apr. 29, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center. Born Mar. 30, 1928 in Olive Hill, KY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Anna Wells Johnson. Mrs. Perry was a retired seamstress for Cowden Manufacturing and a member of Lexington United Baptist Church.

Survivors other than her daughter include two grandchildren, Shane and Brad Cochran, both of Lexington, KY: two great grandchildren, Brittany Cochran, Hillsboro, KY and Liliana Washington, Lexington, KY; one brother, June Johnson; and one sister, Edna Perry.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings, Chester, Jimmy, Johnny and Leonard Johnson, Pauline Knip, Ruth Lane, Lois Adkins, and Eva Hatton.

Funeral services will be 11 am Sat. at Lexington United Baptist Church by Elder Johnny Seagraves and Elder Paul Cline. Burial will follow in the Dean Family Cemetery in Globe, KY. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Fri. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd.
