GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Anne Elliott Flood, 88, of Georgetown, KY, wife of the late Eugene Flood, passed away on Apr. 18, 2013. She was a native of Lexington, born to the late Morgan Wendell Elliott and Mary Anne Baker Cheely.
She was a graduate of UK, attended Columbia University and Trinity University, and received her Masters from Murray State University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington, Lexington Junior League, National Society Colonial Dames, and Chi Omega Sorority. Anne was a retired registered dietitian and served as president of KY Dietetic Association. She completed a dietetic internship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York City.
She was preceded by her husband, Eugene Flood. Survivors include a daughter, Wende Flood (Dan) Harney of Georgetown, KY; two granddaughters, Beth Harney (Mark) Rosa, Boston, MA and Sarah Catherine Harney, Georgetown, KY; a sister, Betty (Jess) Luigart Snowden, Winchester, KY; a great-grandson, Jack Logan Rosa: and a special care giver, Lu Luch.
A graveside service will be held on Fri., May 17, 2013, 11:30 a.m. at the Lexington Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Fri., May 17, 2013, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Milward-Broadway.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
