LEXINGTON, Ky. - Raymond Thomas Fleming, 74, husband of Barbara J. Fleming, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013.
He was a retired engineer for Osram Sylvania after 42 good years of service. During that time he earned 16 patents for innovations in lighting. A native of Lima, OH he was the son of the late Raymond and Lidvina VanOss Fleming.
He graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in Physics. Ray was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where he was a choir member, a Eucharistic minister, past head of servers and belonged to CHRP.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Thomas (Diana) Fleming, Richmond, KY, John (Karen) Fleming, Mason, OH and Ann Fleming, Lexington and two grandchildren, David and Jessica Fleming, Mason, OH. A sister, Mary von Mohr, preceded him in death.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 pm Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton by Rev. John Moriarity and Rev. Will Fraenzle where visitation will begin at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Building Fund or S.P.I.C.E. care of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
