Carl Dennis Crowder, 88

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Carl Dennis Crowder, 88, husband of 67 years to Glenna Ruth Bennett Crowder, passed away Mon. May 20, 2013 at the Hospice Care Center. Born July 19, 1924 in Fountain County, IN, he was the son of the late Herschel and Hazel Harper Crowder. Mr. Crowder was employed for 44 years as a mechanic for Glenn Buick and a 18 year employee of Valvoline. He was a member of Crossroads Christian Church.

Survivors other than his wife include a one son, Larry Dennis (Vicky) Crowder; two daughters, Cheryl Elaine (Bobby) Cooper and Lisa Ann (Jeffrey) Mefford, all of Lexington; six grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Thomas (Georgia Fern) Crowder, Mesa, AZ.

Funeral services will be 10:30 Wed. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Glenn Schneider. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tues. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504.
