Helen Leach Read, 87, of Lexington, KY

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Helen Leach Read, 87, of Lexington, KY widow of James Woodrow Read, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013.

She was the daughter of the late Ira and Cessna Turner Leach. She was also a retired cafeteria manager for the Fayette County Schools and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Allen (Paula) Read and James William “Bill” (Kim) Read, both of Lexington; four grandchildren, Amy Read, Hunter Read, Natalie Read and Matthew Read.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Smith.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Milward – Broadway with Dr. William R. Jennings officiating.

Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at:
