LEXINGTON, Ky. - Gail J. Farmer, 54, Lexington, native of Melrose Park, IL, passed away June 11, 2013. Wife of Michael, mother of Eric, Lauren, and Nicole, and daughter of Ruth Rossi and the late Paul Rossi. She is also survived by her sisters, Cindy (Dave) Kass, Paula (Paul) Karch, and brothers, Michael (Karen) Rossi and David (Elizabeth) Rossi; daughter-in-law, Jessica, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, Marsha (Tom) Aide, and countless friends.
Gail was devoted to her family, especially her 3 children, and strived to make holidays and family occasions happy and memorable. She worked for St. Luke's Mom's Day Out program for 22 years and loved being a part-time mom for hundreds of children during that time. Family was her life and the care of children her passion. She was Mike's best friend and raised their children as she had been, compassionate and caring human beings. She was a woman of grace whose heart touched so many others. She will be missed by everyone.
Funeral Mass will be Saturday, 10 AM, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton with burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation, Friday, 5-8 PM, Milward-Man O' War, 1509 Trent Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in the city of one's choice.
