LEXINGTON, Ky. - Albert James (Jim) Oldach, Jr., 72, husband of Deborah “Debbie” Aston Oldach, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 after a yearlong battle with cancer.
An entrepreneur, he owned and operated numerous businesses throughout his life. A native of Cincinnati, OH, he was the son of the late Albert James and Gladys Clendenin Oldach.
He was a graduate of David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN and a member of Southside Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for many years. He served on the boards of Childplace and various Christian mission organizations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Kelly (Stan) Ferguson, Lexington and Kristi (Brian) Jackson, Austin, TX; bonus children, Christi (Shawn) Ballard, Colorado Springs, CO, Tressa (Bobby) Gibbs, Franklin, TN and Eric (Sallie) Miller, Tulsa, OK, 13 grandchildren and his in-laws, Bill and Johnnie King.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda M. Oldach, and a grandson, David Stanford Ferguson, II.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday at Southside Church of Christ by Barrett Coffman with entombment in Lexington Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Friday at Southside Church of Christ.
