LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mary Emily Marshall Taylor, 85, departed this life peacefully on July 13, 2013. Mary Emily is remembered for her selfless nature, and love and devotion to her faith, and family.
Born December 24, 1927 in Frankfort, Ky, she was the daughter of Llewelyn and Lucille Marshall. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph L. Taylor, sons Danny and Chris Taylor, as well as her parents, brother L.B. Marshall, sister Margaret Sullivan, and son-in-law John W. Quinn.
Mary Emily was a devoted mother, Grandmother and great-Grandmother. She has been a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral of Christ the King for over 60 years, and was an adorer at the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel at St. Luke's Parish in Nicholasville, as well as Christ the King in Lexington for over 20 years. She lived her life as a selfless servant to her faith, and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Joe Quinn, and Emily Taylor, and four sons, Duncan (Carol) Taylor, Ben (Jan) Taylor, Frank (Kim) Taylor and Mark (Julia) Taylor; twenty grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at The Cathedral of Christ the King at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 16, followed by the Mass of Christian burial at twelve noon. Burial will be following at Lexington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers she requests donations be made to the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Maintenance Fund 299 Colony Blvd. Lexington, KY 40502.
