LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sudie Mae (Sue) Trimble Moore, 94, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on July 12, 2013. She was born July 5, 1919 in Mount Sterling, Ky. , the 4th of 6 children of H. Stanley and Mattie C. Trimble. Sue spent most of her life in and around Lexington Ky. , graduating from Bryan Station High School. She married Joel Elliott Moore in 1937 and retired in 1982 after 35 years with the Columbia Gas System. She was a long time member of the Tates Creek Christian Church. She moved to South Port Square in Port Charlotte, Florida in 2001.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her daughter, Marilyn Moore Lowry, but is survived by her son-in-law, Denis E. Lowry of Punta Gorda, Florida, two grandchildren, Hunter Lowry Dyer of Suwanee, Georgia and Kenton E. Lowry of Columbia, South Carolina, three great grandchildren, Sydney (Mark) Pipkin, Damian Cornelison and Sterling Cornelison and one great great grandson, Gabriel Logan Pipkin.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, July 20 at Milward-Broadway where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of cards and flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center, Clarksburg, Maryland 20871.
