LEXINGTON, Ky. - Betty McLachlan Bolwell, 88, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Tuesday July 16th, 2013 at 9:00am. She was born to the late John and Elizabeth McLachlan June 2nd 1925 in Pompton Lakes New Jersey. She was married to the late John D. Weber for 26 years and they lived together in Chagrin Falls, Ohio where they raised their four sons. She later married the late Harry J. Bolwell, President/CEO of Midland-Ross Corp, and retired to Vero Beach, FL in 1993. While living in Ohio, Betty worked for Peter Danford Jewelers and later retired from Chisholm Halle Boutique, both located in Cleveland. In her retirement, Betty enjoyed traveling, golf, the ocean and John's Island Country Club in Vero Beach, FL.
Betty is survived by four children; Lee Weber, of Lexington; Glenn Weber, of Columbus; John Weber, of White Sulphur Springs; and Tex Weber of Vero Beach.
She is also survived by a sister, Violet Hanley. She also is survived by her grandchildren Jennifer Weber, Lauren Weber, and Jim Weber.
Services are private at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40513. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to the Sander's-Brown Center on Aging: 101 Sanders-Brown Building, 800 S. Limestone Street, Lexington, KY 40536.
