Jerry Hamer Bragg, 70

obit12LEXINGTON, Ky. - Jerry Hamer Bragg, 70, husband of Ruth Frazier Bragg, passed away Friday at his residence. Born Feb. 23, 1943 in Ottawa, WV, he was the son of the late John Milton and Mamie Beatrice Legg Bragg. Mr. Bragg was the equipment and facilities manager for Forest Hill Farm, and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers #181. He was a member of Alton Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Jerry Thomas Bragg and Joe Kelly (Patricia) Bragg; three grandchildren, Daniel Kaleb, Alyssa Kelley and Sydney Lin Bragg; two brothers, Ted V. (Margaret) Bragg and Jack P. (Wanda) Bragg; and two sisters, Ona Lee (Bill) Smith and Sue (Joe) Dozier.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Lee; and two brothers, John Milton Bragg, Jr. and Joe Eddy Bragg. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Thursday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Steve Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Boone, Johnny Kerr, Jake Harper, Irvine White, Ricky Whitaker, Steve Leachman, Ron Sandoval, and Irvine Pickett.

Visitation will be 4-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Central KY Regional Humane Society No Kill Central KY, P.O. Box 875, Lancaster, KY 40444.
