LEXINGTON, Ky. - Thomas (Tom) Wilson Riley, Jr., 65, of Lexington, husband of Janna S. Riley, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. He was born January 14, 1948 in Gadsden, AL to the late Thomas Wilson Riley Sr. and Dean Cahela Riley. Mr. Riley grew up in Mt. Morris, MI and was a graduate of Genesee High School and Lexington Baptist College. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church and was a Christian who loved the Lord and his family. Tom enjoyed reading, writing and most recently playing the cello. He was also a volunteer at Central Baptist Hospital, loved to host at Cracker Barrel was currently employed at Amazon and loved taking long walks with his dog Barney.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Rebecca Dean Riley (Steve) Dawson and Nancy Park Riley; four grandchildren, Chandler, Conner, Erika and Elijah; three siblings, Greg (Margaret) Riley, Ron (Donna) Riley and Sue Hathon; a special great aunt, Adelle, one niece and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Riley.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Harrodsburg Road by Bro. Steve Wainright. Burial will follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-9 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
