LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mary Louise Ransdell “Meme” was born in Lexington May 12, 1922, she passed Aug.25, 2013. She lived as she passed away, with strength and dignity. She married Erskine in 1944 and for 64 years they loved and lived to the fullest. Erskine passed in 2008. They had no children and most of her friends and relatives have passed too. Even so, people became her family as she loved vibrantly and shared her unique gifts. Already we miss her laugh, her sweet regard. We respect her courage and we are encouraged by her spirit. In the hours before her crossing she gave to her child Cindy this precious treasure. Ezekiel 36:27. In Cindy’s daily devotional, this same verse appears on the day of Cindy’s birth and the day of Meme’s death. God’s ways are miracles. Meme didn’t care about her funeral. Meme cared about life. We wait for our reunion. Though grieving, we will live life abundantly. She cared abundantly. Jennifer, you are her child, and all the Head family, Bud and Deb Batterson, Anita and Mike Keith, her wonderful neighbors in Bowling Green, and our Mayfair family. As in the Body of Christ and in the spirit of Meme…come as you are. CELEBRATE! Our love suffers no more.
