Betty J. Honican, 81

orangeskytreeLEXINGTON, Ky. - Betty J. Honican, 81, widow of George L. Honican Sr., passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013. Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Hugh Brandenburg and Frances Fraley. She was retired from the VA Hospital.

Survivors are three children, George Leon (Donna) Honican Jr., Herbert Alan (Carolyn) Honican and Sandra Ellen Manies; son-n-law, Paul Hollan; nine grandchildren, Quentin (Andrea), Tony, A.J. (Courtney), Lauren, Claire, Casey, Austin and Hunter; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Martin Brandenburg and Morton Francis Fraley.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Frances Hollan, and a brother, Hugh Brandenburg. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Friday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday.
