LEXINGTON, Ky. - Everett Lee Caudill, 90, husband of 66 years to Rudell Caudill, passed away Thurs. Aug. 29, 2013 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Letcher County, KY on April 16, 1923 to the late Silas and Martha Fields Caudill. Mr. Caudill served in the U.S. Air Force/Army Air Corp, was employed at the VA for 40 years finishing his career as the Director of the KY Veterans Administration for eight years. Everett was a member and deacon at Anchor Baptist Church. He loved to golf with his friends and was respected by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his wife survivors include three children, Denise (Jackie) York, Leon (Caryl) Caudill, and David (Penny) Caudill; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; one sister, two brothers; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings: two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 11 am Tues. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Dr. Carl Peters. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 pm Mon. at the funeral home.
