LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kenneth Cropper, 89, of Lexington, Ky passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013. He was born Aug. 2, 1924 to the late Millard B. and Cora B. Cropper. He was a WW II combat medic veteran and proud receiver of the Bronze Star. He was a lifelong farmer, and was awarded the Master Conservation Award on Feb. 14, 1997. He was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, director and church clerk. He was the husband of Dean Cropper for 49 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Pamela Rose Cropper-Vice; a son, Kenneth Taylor Cropper Jr. (Ann); and two grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Cropper (Mary Kate) and Scott Joseph Cropper. He had a deep love of God, family and the farm.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Christ Centered Church. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. is in charge of arrangements.
