LEXINGTON, Ky. - Paul L. Williams, 87, of Lexington, Ky widower of Jessie Lee Epperson Williams, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013. He was the son of the late Caleb and Amanda West Williams.
He was the former owner and operator of the BP Gas Station on Waller Ave. He was also a member of the 101 Club, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII having served as General Douglas MacArthur’s personal bodyguard. He loved the U.K. Wildcats, horse racing and especially his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula (Bryan Phillips) Davis, Lexington and Jan (Robert) DeArmond, Bath County, Ky; six grandchildren, Heather Herald, R. T. (Angela) Herald, Paul (Claudette) Herald, Joel David Davis, Jordan Davis and Sarah Phillips; four great grandchildren, Kylie, Jackson, Lincoln and Luke Herald; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be from 12 until 2 p.m. Saturday at Milward – Man O’ War with a service at 2 PM.
There will be a reception following the service.
Burial will be in the Barbourville Cemetery at a later date.
