LEXINGTON, Ky. - Penny Suzanne Sublett Turner, 61 of Georgetown passed away Thursday Dec. 19th, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born January 15, 1952 in Owensboro KY to the late Bernard and Bobbie Sublett. She was a deacon and member at First Christian Church in Georgetown KY.
Survivors include, Steve, her husband of 42 years; two daughters, Tiffany Gaudio (Dr. Joseph Gaudio) and Tennille Turner all of NYC; a granddaughter, Ashley Gaudio; sister, Pam Burns (Allen Burns); nieces, Leslie Peveler and family, Mandy Burns, and Ben Burns and family; her beloved mother-in-law, Lee Turner Alvey; and brother-in-law, Mike Turner. She leaves many friends and caretakers at Markey Cancer Center.
Having been involved in the family businesses Sublett’s and Little Miss and Mister Shop in Owensboro, KY. After moving to Lexington she continued her career at Lazarus department store. She went on to work as a recruiter and specialist for Toyota motor manufacturing from which she retired. She was a notable artist and most recently specialized in creating beautiful portraits for friends. She volunteered at the Kentucky horse park, the humane society, and as a member of the patient advisory council at Markey Cancer Center.
Visitation, Saturday, 1-4 p.m. and on Sunday at 12 Noon followed by a funeral at 2 p.m. , Milward-Man O’ War, 1509 Trent Blvd., Lexington, KY. Visitation on Monday will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Rosehill Mausoleum, Owensboro, followed by entombment.
