LEXINGTON, Ky. - Lucy Hill Burden, 88, widow of Bobby H. Burden, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013. Born in Woodford Co., she was a daughter of the late James P. and Annie Hill. She was retired after 25 years from the Bluegrass Army Depot and she volunteered at the Shriners Children’s Hospital. Survivors are a daughter, Ann Richardson; a son, Harold B. (Jackie) Littrell Jr.; grandsons, Jerald W., Timothy B. (Tracy), Kevin S. (Kristin), Harold B. III (Annie) and Brian T. (Leighanne). Great-grandchildren include Will, Olivia, Mason, Maxwell, Baylee and Ella Rose. She is also survived by a sister, Betty Johnson (Joe); many precious nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews; and dear friends. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel, Hazel and Louise, and two brothers, James and Clyde. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and Mamaw. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. by Rev. J.K. Pierce.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday evening. Burial will be in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her son and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, Shiners Hospital for Children or the Healthy Heart Club.
