Mae Holbrook, 92, of Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mae Holbrook, 92, of Lexington, wife of the late James Holbrook, died Sun, Jan 12, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Alma Mills. Mae was a loving wife and mother, an active member of Gardenside Christian Church, and busy volunteer.

She is survived by five children, Jim (Wanda) Holbrook, Clinton, Ky, Gary (Carol) Holbrook, Scottsdale, AZ, Mary (David) Day, Richmond, Ky, Cathy (Frank) Mayer, Alvin, TX, and Barbara (Ricky) Qualls, Lexington, Ky; one sister, Virginia Ross, Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Jeff and David Holbrook, AZ, Shaun Day, Richmond, Ky, Jesse Day, Winchester, Ky, and Christina Qualls, Lexington, Ky.

Funeral services will be on Thurs, Jan 16 at 1:30 at Milward -Southland. Burial will follow at the Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wed, Jan 15, at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to Gardenside Christian Church, 940 Holly Springs Dr, Lexington, Ky or Salvation Army, 736 W. Main St, Lexington, Ky.
