Mickey R. Metcalf, 63 of Paducah

PADUCAH, KY - Mickey R. Metcalf, 63 of Paducah passed away at 9:18 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.

He was a retired Assistant Chief Engineer for the railroad, a Marine veteran of the Vietnam war where he received two purple heart medals, he was a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, a member of the Church of Christ faith, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, a member of the American Legion and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a son, Quentin A. Metcalf of Upton, KY; a daughter, Chrystal Garber of Paducah; two sisters, Haroldet Byrd of Covington, KY and Bobbie Stafford of Paducah; three grandchildren, Alexis Dawn Watson of Paducah, Gavin C. Metcalf and Garron C. Metcalf both of Upton, KY and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Mary Elizabeth Williams Metcalf; a daughter, Angela Dawn Metcalf and a sister, Joyce Ann Burnett.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
