Bobbye June Hiett, 84, of Paducah, KY

BENTON, Ky. - Bobbye June Hiett, 84, of Paducah, KY passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2013 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Bobbye is the daughter of the late William Robert Hiett and the late Trixie (Lents) Hiett. Her sister Jody (Hiett) Nichols also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two sisters Billie Walston (Dan) of Geneva, IL and Gwenda Hiett-Clements (Len) of Sanibel, FL; her niece Christy Walston Cooper (Brian), of Monroe, GA; her nephew Douglas Walston (Lisa) and her two great-nephews Benton and Peyton Walston of Deer Park, IL. Bobbye also has several cousins living in the Benton area.

Bobbye grew up in Benton, KY, graduated from Benton High School and earned a business degree at Paducah Community College. She was owner of Henneberger Insurance Agency until the late 1990s. She was active in several business and community organizations in Paducah during her career.

Throughout her life she was a member of the Church of Christ in Benton and Paducah. After her retirement, she remained in Paducah and had been a resident of Parkview Nursing Home the past three years.

Viewing for friends and family members will be at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY on Saturday, January 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be held Sunday, January 20 at 2 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Marshall County Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Those wishing to honor Bobbye's memory are invited to make a donation to their favorite charity in her name.
