PADUCAH, Ky. - Ruth Lunell Bell, 89, of West Paducah, KY passed away at 7:38 p.m. Monday at Lourdes.
She had worked years ago as an auditing clerk for Sears, however, most of her time was spent as a homemaker. She was a life-long member of the Palestine United Methodist Church where she worked with the youth and the United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Leland E. Bell, a daughter, Linda Smith, of Bowling Green, Ky. a son, Charles Bell, of Ennis, Texas, and 2 grandchildren, Amy Marie Meece, of Bowling Green, and James Everett Bell, of Ennis, Texas, along with 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rebecca Smith, and her parents, Roy and Bertie Graham Burkhart.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Randy Hines and the Rev. Kendrick Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Palestine United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 5105 Metropolis Lake Rd. West Paducah, Ky. 42086 Visitation will be after 12:00 noon Thursday at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
