Glendine (Byrl) Gast, age 82, of Paducah, KY

obit12PADUCAH, Ky. - Glendine (Byrl) Gast, age 82, of Paducah, KY went home to be with the Lord at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, from Lourdes Hospital.

Born in Oldom, Indiana, Byrl was of the Presbyterian Faith. She was the former owner of Cardinal Lanes Bowling Alley. Byrl enjoyed bowling, fishing, trips to Florida, and spending time with her family on their houseboat at KY Lake.

Byrl was preceded in death by her 3 beloved sons, Scott Dean, Larry Dean, and William Krug, her husband, Mike Gast Sr. and her parents, Robert and Laura Miller.

She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Brenda Krug, and Peggy Dean, both of Paducah, a stepson, Mike Gast Jr. of Arkansas, and 5 grandchildren, Kristy Robinson, Terri Nelson, both of Paducah, Mickey Gast, and Eric Gast, both of Arkansas, and Bobbie Dean, of Sandford, Fl., along with several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to celebrate Byrl's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial will be at a later time.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to The American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42001.

Friends may visit with the family after 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
