Lela Buannah Tippin, 95, of Paducah, Ky

obit12PADUCAH, Ky. - Lela Buannah Tippin, 95, of Paducah, Ky passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at 12:40 pm at her home.

Buannah was born in Scipio Township, Seneca County, Ohio on October 23, 1917 to the late Burton and Lydia Reiff Reiter. She worked at Sanders Jewelry in Shelbyville, IN for many years. After moving to Paducah, she became a member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Richard “Rick” Tippin of Paducah; five grandchildren, Shane Tippin of Kansas City, Mo., Joshua Tippin of Springfield, IL, Jenna Tippin of Edwardsville, IL, Kyle Tippin and Stacey Tippin both of Paducah; and two great-grandchildren, Kylee Tippin and Taylor Tippin of Kansas City, Mo.

Preceding her in death were her husband, James Edward Tippin; a son, Daryl E. Tippin; one sister, Helen McCammett; four brothers, Don Reiter, George Reiter, Neil Reiter and Ivan Reiter; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11am at Lone Oak United Methodist Church with Dr. Ben Boone officiating. A private burial will take place at Lone Oak United Methodist Church Memorial Garden.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8 pm at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home and will resume at 10am Tuesday at the church.

Contributions may be made to Lone Oak United Methodist Church, 3835 Old U.S. Hwy 45 South, Paducah, KY 42003.
