Charles D. Allen, 79, of Melber, KY

obit1PADUCAH, Ky. - Charles D. Allen, 79, of Melber, KY passed away Friday August 16, 2013 at 8:15am in his home. Mr. Allen was a welder and maintenance man at Federal Materials for 13 years, and also worked as a tobacco and cattle farmer.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Naomi Bement Allen, four daughters; Paula Jackson of Cunningham, KY, Angela Gourley of Cunningham, KY, Velda Rikel of Lone Oak, KY, and Karen Cude of Smithland, KY, two sons; Charlie Allen of Pottsville, KY, and Bert Allen of Vevay, IN, one sister, Sue Swansey of Benton, KY, one brother, Phillip Allen of Hickory, KY, eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents McKinley and Beulah Speed Allen, and two brothers; Daniel Allen and Almon Allen.

A FUNERAL SERVICE is scheduled for 2:00pm Sunday August 18, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with BUIAL following at Diggs Chapel/Kansas Cemetery in Melber, KY. Rev. Rodney Cude will Officiate. VISITATION will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm Saturday August 17, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
