Geneva Pearl Barriger, 99 of Cunningham

obit1PADUCAH, Ky. - Geneva Pearl Barriger, 99 of Cunningham, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013, at McCracken Nursing and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Barriger was a member of the Bardwell Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and worked as an LPN for Lourdes Hospital and the former Riverside Hospital.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Lou Wilson and husband Jay of Calvert City; one son, William Brodie Barriger and wife Margaret of Cunningham; one son-in-law Dean Beardsley of Wickliffe; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Barriger of Cunningham, Melanie Burgess of Cunningham, Mark Beardsley of Kevil, Dana Mutchler of Hendersonville, TN, Travar Beardsley of Anna, IL, Chris Beardsley of Bardwell, Barry Wilson of Benton, and Teresa Thompson of Smithland; twelve great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Barriger was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Barriger; one daughter Helen Sue Beardsley; one sister; and five brothers. Her parents were Fenton and Mary Ada Wheatley Gupton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Michael Trivette officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Graves County Animal Shelter, 500 North 12th St., Mayfield, KY 42066.
