Elizabeth Ann Thompson, age 70, Paducah, Ky

PADUCAH, Ky. - Elizabeth Ann Thompson, age 70, Paducah, Ky passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013, 9:10 pm at Baptist Health of Paducah.

She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Trustee and President of the Usher Board.

Ms. Thompson was a member of the Brunch Club. She also was a member of Queen Esther Chapter #4 Order of the Eastern Star, Past Matron; Balkis Court #156, Past Illustrious Commandress; Paducah Assembly #92, Past Loyal Lady Ruler; and Cecilia Dunlap Grand Chapter of Diamonds, Prince Hall Affiliated, Past Grand Guardian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick D. Thompson and her parents, Sam Aaron and Laura L. Latham Prather.

Ms. Thompson is survived by, one daughter, Carolyn Prather, Paducah, KY; one step daughter, Tammie Jackson, Paducah, KY; two sons, Aaron Stafford Prather, and Alfredro Funnicello Thompson, both of Paducah, KY; Seven Grandchildren, Five Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, September 13, 2013 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Joe N. Flagg officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah.

The family will receive visitors, Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with Eastern Star Rites beginning at 6:00 PM.
