Henderson Police Department Reports Criminal Activity, Accident

hend police arrest1 300HENDERSON, Ky. (9/18/13) - The following activity was reported by the Henderson Police Department for Sept. 10 through Sept. 13:
 
A man reported on Sept 10 at 7:13 a.m. that his 2003 Mercedes E320 was stolen from in front of Kenny’s Auto, 423 Fourth St, sometime over night. Later in the day, the victim allegedly saw the car with a male, Alix Skipworth, of the 8100 block of Spencer Thornberry, driving the car in the area of 5th and Green Streets. Police later located the car behind a church in the 600 block of Short St. Authorities said it was unoccupied. Skipworth was located in the area of 5th St. on foot and was arrested after other vehicle contents were allegedly recovered. Skipworth was lodged at the Detention Center on charges of Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000 and Receiving Stolen Property less than $10,000.
 
Deangieo T. Hutcherson, of the 800 block of Madison St, was arrested on Sept. 11 at 8:46 p.m. after police investigated and allegedly found that he was in possession of a stolen handgun. The handgun was reported stolen out of Hopkinsville Kentucky Police Department. Hutcherson was lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center.
 
Bonnie Helmick, was operating a moped north bound in the 1000 block of Merrit Dr on Sept. 11 at 7:07 p.m. when she apparently lost control of the vehicle. Helmick was transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
 
Police said a woman contacted authorities regarding an unknown subject in an alleged incident on Sept. 13 at 9:03 p.m. Authorities said the woman told them someone approached her and demanded money while she was at the night deposit at Fifth Third. The unknown subject, wearing a gray sweat suit, allegedly left the scene with more than $500 cash. The investigation is continuing at the Henderson Police Department.
