PADUCAH, Ky. - Frank (Butch) Ryan, age 68, of West Paducah, Ky went home to be with the Lord at 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013, from his residence.
Born in Cairo, Illinois, Butch was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in Vietnam with the rank of Lance Corporal.
After his military service, Butch graduated from Murray State University with a B.S. Degree in Business and worked as an Audit Supervisor for the Ky Department of Revenue.
Butch was also a faithful member of the Newton Creek Baptist Church, a Ky Colonel, an avid University of Ky Wildcat Fan, and a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post 1191.
He was passionate about deer hunting, loved old people and kids, and his two grandsons, J.R. and Matthew, who were the light of his life.
Butch was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. The Marine Corps Motto, Semper Fidelis; 'Always Faithful' became a way of life for Butch. And, for the many who called Butch a friend, they found in him a genuineness, often not seen in this day and time.
Butch is survived by his faithful wife, Beverly, devoted daughters, Tammy Ryan, of Murphysboro, Illinois, Kim Ryan Johnson, and her husband, Jessie, of Barlow, Ky. and a special friend, Tanya Knust, of Murphysboro, Illinois; His two grandsons and best buddies, J.R. Blackburn and Matthew Blackburn, both of Barlow; His beloved sister, Diane Fowler, of Barlow, Ky. and brothers, Jim Ryan, and wife Judy, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Wally Ryan, and his wife Brenda, of Bardwell, Ky; His parents were Frank F. Ryan and Myrtle Henderson Ryan.

A celebration of Frank (Butch) Ryan’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 19. 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Wayne Carter officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Newton Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah, 120 Memorial Drive, Paducah, Ky.
