Letter to the Editor – Man Up, President Obama!

letter editor1 300FRANKFORT, Ky. (10/9/13) – The following is a Letter to the Editor submitted by Alex Williams regarding the current political situation.
 
This Tuesday morning, I just watched the most partisan, arrogant and horrible talk that I have ever heard a President of the United States make. I am an independent. I don’t like either political party. I cannot tell much difference. Both parties are inflexible and clueless and self-serving. That being said, Obama cast all the blame on the republicans. Wow, what is new? He blamed Bush for everything his first term; and now, he blames anyone else because he cannot take personal responsibility. Obama especially hates the Tea Party group. You know, that is the group that wants government to live within its means. Obama said that he would be the great leader to bring all sides together. This is another promise broken by the hardline liberal democrat Obama.
 
Obama has failed miserably as President. Our foreign policy is in shambles. Afghanistan is a disaster. Syria is a disaster. Terrorists are gaining in strength and striking more boldly. Russia is flexing newfound strength. Iran is racing to build nuclear bombs in spite of US sanctions. China is gaining in economic and military strength every day.
 
While our enemies get stronger and more brazen, President Obama is demolishing the military. The Joint Chiefs of Staff, testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, painted a bleak picture of massive reductions in military readiness due to sequestration (Obama’s idea) and budget cuts (republican idea). The Navy will no longer be able to equip and deploy our aircraft carrier fleets at current levels. The Army will be making crippling cuts to manpower. The Air Force may have to retire entire fleets of aircraft for fueling, transport and close air support. The Marines will no longer have the fighting forces to engage in more than one conflict. All services complain that they cannot replace or repair equipment lost or damaged in Iraq and Afghanistan.
 
ObamaCare is a disaster! People are not signing up. People are getting really mad and disappointed. They are mad at the cost and disappointed with the benefits provided in the federal insurance packages. Despite spending hundreds of millions on websites to sign up, the websites do not work. President Obama has unilaterally made 19 changes to the Affordable Care Act without congressional action or approval. The President of the United States does not have that power according the United States Constitution. Those changes to ObamaCare are unconstitutional!! Why is no one holding him accountable?
 
One thing Obama and his cronies are doing an excellent job - signing people up for food stamps and Social Security disability. They have been advertising to recruit people for social dependency programs and changing the names of programs to make them sound better to be a recipient. Yea, I know it’s not food stamps any more it is the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). You can’t get much “snappier” than that. Oops, I almost forgot the EBT card – excuse me. Millions of people added to these social programs under the ultra-liberal President Obama.
 
Obama and his administration have made the partial government shutdown as painful as possible for the American people. If the debt limit is not raised, I cannot imagine what these criminals will do. They should all be fired before it is too late!
