Ambie Sue Freeman, 91 of Paducah, Ky

PADUCAH, Ky. - Ambie Sue Freeman, 91 of Paducah, Ky passed away at 8:20 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Morningside of Paducah.

Mrs. Freeman was a member of Free Gospel Church and retired from Normandy Manufacturing where she was a seamstress. She was a volunteer for twenty five years at Lourdes Hospital, and was a member of the Paducah Ambassadors, the Red Hat Society, and was a Dutchess of Paducah and Kentucky Colonel.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hunter and husband Darrell of West Paducah; one grandson, Greg Hunter of Murray; a special friend, Sue Oreskovich of West Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Challie B. Freeman; four brothers, Marvin Swatzell, Owen Swatzell, Thomas Swatzell, and Bill Swatzell. Her parents were James Ennis and Cora Alice Merrick Swatzell.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Berkley and Curtis Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Clarks River Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until service time at the funeral home.
