PADUCAH, Ky. - Dorotha 'Dot' Mason, 80, of Paducah, Ky passed away 6:30 am Wednesday, November, 13, 2013 at Southgate Nursing Home in Metropolis.
She was a homemaker and a member of Southland Baptist Temple, where she helped organize The Never Grow Old Widows Club.
Mrs. Mason was survived by her five daughters, Doris Jean Young of Paducah, Beverly Kaye Mason Futrell and husband John of Paducah, Sandy Brown and husband David of Paducah, Penny Campbell and husband Jim of Berry Ky, Karen Sue Shapiro of Tallahassee FL; her son, Stephen Mason and wife Marrissia of Paducah; 13 grandchildren, Jay Shapiro, Matthew Shapiro, Michael Shapiro, Chad Young, Heather Olroyd, Justin Young, Rachel Futrell Jones, Abby Greene, John 'J.J.' Owens, Joshua Campbell, Andy Campbell, Lauren Avery, Lakyn Watkins, and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William 'Pete' Mason, two grand children Trad Mason, Trent Mason; one great grandson, Mason Campbell, and her son in law, Randall Young. Her parents were Riley B. McNeely and Vernie D. Clapp McNeely.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mason will be 11:00 am Monday, November, 18, 2013 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Topper Council officiating. Burial will follow at Brooks Memorial Park.
Visitation for Mrs. Mason will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November, 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
