W.H. (Pappy) Burdin, 76, of Hartford

PADUCAH, KY - W.H. (Pappy) Burdin, 76, of Hartford, passed away, Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his residence with his family at his side.

He was born April 26, 1935 to the late John T. and Eddith Morris Burdin. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of Christ at Renfrow.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Ralph.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Faye Edwards Burdin of Hartford, two daughters, Yvonne(David) McGary of Philpot, Karen Burdin of Hartford, two sons, Barry(Patricia) Burdin of Beaver Dam and Gary (Marcia) Burdin of Gentryville, IN., two brothers, Rayburn Burdin and Larry Burdin and sister, Linda Burdin all of Horse Branch. He was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Sunday, November 6, 2011 at William L. Danks Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, with Ethan Eden officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Baizetown. Visitation will be from 2-8PM, Saturday and 9AM until time of service Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Ohio County 1211 Main St. Hartford, KY. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
