Mary Hedden, age 92 of Metropolis

 

obit5PADUCAH, KY - Mary Hedden, age 92 of Metropolis, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at Southgate Nursing and Rehab.  
 
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Miller Funeral Home at 11a.m. with Rev. Louis Brinker officiating with a private family burial to follow at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
 
At her request, Mrs. Hedden’s body was donated to the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Metropolis, was a beautician by trade, was a sewing instructor at the Good Luck Glove Factory in Metropolis, and along side her husband she owned and operated Hedden Cleaners in Metropolis.
 
She is survived by her son, David Hedden and wife Michiko, of Lenoir City, TN; daughter, Barbara Hedden, of Springfield, IL; grandchildren: Kacey Crum of Springfield, IL; Andy Hedden and wife Jessica of Haines, AK, Becky Hedden of Denver, CO; great granddaughter Sophie Hedden of Haines, AK; brother James Paris of Moses Lake, WA., and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents: James E. and Sally Bascom Paris: husband Henry C. Hedden; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
 
Visitation will be held November 19th starting at 10am till time of Memorial Service at 11a.m. at Miller Funeral Home in Metropolis.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4501 W. Deyoung Street, Marion, IL. 62959.
