PADUCAH, KY - Masel Mathis Bobbitt, of Lone Oak passed away Friday at 12:44 a.m. at Lourdes Hospital.
Masel was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church since 1960, past president of W.M.U, graduate of Cuba High School in Graves County and Draughons Business College in Paducah. She was a member and past matron of Clara Henrich Chapter 424 Order of Eastern Star, Past President of Past Matrons and Past Patrons Club of Clara Henrich Chapter 424, Past Grand Representative of Grand Chapter of Kentucky Order of the Eastern Star to Idaho. Masel also was past president of Matinee Music Club of Paducah. She was a member of Marine Shrine No. 12 of White Shrine of Jerusalem, member of Past Royal Matron of Queen Christian Court No. 13 Order of The Amaranth of Kentucky. She was known for her accomplishemnts in weaving, crochet, counted cross-stitch, needlepoint and knitting. Masel loved to cook and bake cakes. Survivors include distant cousins and close friends
Preceding in death were her husband, William Raymond Bobbitt; parents, Jesse & Vada Black Mathis; two sisters, Lucille Mathis and Mary Lee Mathis.
Services will be held Monday, December 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev Mike Williams and Dr. Dan Summerlin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday at Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m- until service time.
