PADUCAH, KY - Earl Trafton Henson, 93, of Paducah, passed away Saturday at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Trafton was born June 9, 1918, in Paducah to the late Earl and Fanny Surrett Henson. He was drafted into the Army toward the end of World War II and guarded well-known war criminals in Germany and France. He was a painter for the Illinois Central Railroad and was a member of the Carmen Labor Union.
Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Mary Gordon Henson; two daughters, Gloria (Jimmy) Harris and Pam (Steve) Shoulta, all of Paducah; two sons, James T. (Kathy) Henson of Gilbertsville, Ky., and Rickie (Cathy) Henson of Paducah; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a great-granddaughter and a stepgrandson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Bolton Cemetery in Symsonia.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
