CENTRAL CITY, KY - William Thomas Smith, 86, of Central City, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at 6:53AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital.

Mr. Smith was born August 5, 1925 in Muhlenberg County. He was owner and operator of Smith Tours in Henderson, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Central City. He enjoyed being with family and friends, and traveling, especially to Belize, Central America.

He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Smith; mother Luada Lott Smith; brother Lyndell Smith; sisters Helen Ruth Mackey, Floya McGhee, Nelda Smith, and Golda Conner; and grandparents William Thomas Smith, Susan Presley, John William Lott, and Josie Jarrett.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Rose Abell Smith; son John (Jalayne) Smith of Henderson; and grandchildren Conner Smith and Tanner Smith.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Central City, with Father Ben Luther officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery in Moorman. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Prayers will be said Tuesday evening at 6:30PM at the funeral home.
