CENTRAL CITY, KY - Ray Baize, 83, of Central City, KY passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 8:10AM at his home.

Mr. Baize was born March 2, 1929 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and farmer, and member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Central City. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his sons, David Baize and Matthew Baize; and daughters Lydia Baize and Linda Rickman.

Survivors include his wife, Retha Barbee Baize; sons Michael Baize, Steven Baize, and Daniel (Jennifer) Baize, all of Moorman; daughters Susan Baize Burnett and Kathy Myers, both of Moorman; and grandchildren Keith, Cindy, Jason, Matt, Joseph, and Dalton.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Central City, with Father Ben Luther officiating. Burial in New Hope Cemetery in Moorman. Visitation will be Sunday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Prayers will be said at 6:00PM at the funeral home. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
