Melvin DeArmond, 85 of Greenville, KY

GREENVILLE, KY - Melvin DeArmond, 85 of Greenville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2:19 p.m. at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was born on June 28, 1926 in Muhlenberg County. He is the son of Richard Isaac DeArmond and Charline Chandler DeArmond. He was a member of East Union Baptist Church and retired from the Kentucky Department of Highways. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maxine McDonald Dearmond.

He is survived by:
Two sisters
Ruthie Knight of Hopkinsville, Kentucky
Pat (Joe) Pruitt of Greenville, Kentucky
Several nieces and nephews

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. from Oak Grove Cemetery. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Depoy, Kentucky.

Friends may call after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville. Online condolences may be made to the family at http://www.garysfuneralhome.net
