Bowling Green, KY - Charles P. Stovall, Jr., passed away on May 22, 2012 in Bowling Green, KY. He was born in Greenville, KY on February 21, 1942 to C. P. "Pack" Stovall, Sr. and Lois Locke Stovall.
He was in business in Muhlenberg County for many years owning WKYF Radio Station, Stovall's Ashland Oil, The Muffler House, Stovall Tire and Service Center and Kirkwood Shaker Furniture. He retired and moved to Florida in 1997 before moving to Bowling Green KY in 2011.
He served two terms on the Greenville City Council, two terms as Chairman of the Muhlenberg County Airport Board. He had also served as President of the Muhlenberg County Economic Development Board.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Lehman Avenue Church of Christ, Bowling Green, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sharon Alexander Stovall, 3 sons and daughters in law, Nick (Jacqueline) Stovall, Ooltewah TN. Greg (Melinda) Stovall, Killen AL. Charles P. Ill (Renee) Stovall, Bowling Green KY. Nine grand children and five great grand children. One sister Peggy Clark, Greenville, KY.
He was preceded in passing by one son Scott Alexander Stovall.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home, 405 Hopkinsville Street, Greenville, KY by Mr. Michael Greene. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, KY.
Friends may call Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gary’s Funeral Home, Greenville, KY and after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
