GREENVILLE, Ky. – Martine Peveler Cornette, 93, a lifelong resident of Greenville, Ky., passed away peacefully on December 26, 2012 at Richmond Place Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Lexington.

She was born May 20, 1919 to the late Myrtle and William Oliver Peveler, Jr. of Midland, Kentucky. She was an employee of First State for 25 years. She was an active member of the First Christian Church, a volunteer at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital, and a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, William Claude Cornette; granddaughter Sally Ann Cornette; brothers Hubert, Ted, Preacher, Ben, Harry, Wilbur, and Carl Peveler; and sister Lema Peveler Wilkins.

She is survived by her three loving children, Billy (Betty) Cornette, Donnie (Margaret) Cornette, and Kathy Cornette (Fred) Ryburn; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 11:00 Friday, December 28 at First Christian Church, Greenville, followed by the funeral at 12:00. Gary's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
