MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky - Ila Carlene Houchens Gore, 71 was called to her heavenly home on January 12, 2013. She was born to the late Mary and Carl Houchens on August 13, 1941 in Evansville, Indiana.  Ila graduated in 1959 from Millersburg School and attended Oakland City University. She served three years in the United States Air Force. She later worked with special needs children. Ila loved her family, pets, horses and gardening.

Private graveside services officiated by Reverend Bobby Allen will be held at a later date.

She is survived by:
Her husband of 50 years, John Gore
Her children:
     John Jr. (Andrea), Mary (James), Kevin (Pam), and John Carl (Becca)
 Her Grandchildren
     Nichole, Courtney, Robbie, Tasha, Rhyann, Brycen, Layla, Liam, Carlena, Cayla, Kelsey,    
              Colton, John Henry, Josephine, Jeremiah, Gracie, Carley, Nicholas
