Jean Dell Dukes Bandy, 85, of Greenville, KY

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Jean Dell Dukes Bandy, 85, of Greenville, KY passed away March 7, 2013, at Belle Meade Nursing Home. She was born on August 29, 1927, in Muhlenberg County, to the late Arvel and Laura Belle Ford Dukes. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Adrian Bandy. She was a former employee of Countzler's Drug Store, Noffsinger's Department Store, and Cowden Manufacturing Company. Jean Dell and Adrian owned and operated Bandy's Lake for many years. She was a member of Woodland Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, gardening, and traveling.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Lin) Cisney of Greenville; two sons, Benny (Kay) Bandy of Greenville, and Terry Bandy of Rome, GA; four grandchildren, Shane (Tabby) Bandy of Smyrna, TN, Chad (Melonie) Bandy of Cartersville, GA, Laura Cisney (Mark) Stankewicz of Nashville, TN, and Gordon Cisney of Smyrna, GA; seven great-grandchildren, Shani Bandy of Bowling Green, KY, Trent and Madison Bandy of Smyrna, TN, Kate and Beth Stankewicz of Nashville, TN, Reece and Mikah Bandy of Cartersville, GA.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Woodland Missionary Baptist Church, south of Greenville. Visitation will be 10 a.m. till service time at the church with burial immediately following in Woodland Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in memorial contributions to the Woodland Cemetery Fund. Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville is in charge of arrangements.
