kennedyGREENVILLE, Ky - Nellie B. Kennedy, 86 of Greenville, Ky. passed away Friday morning March 29, 2013 at 5:20 a.m. at her home after several months’ illness.  Nell was born March 26, 1927 in Muhlenberg County the daughter of Grover Cleveland Furman and Carrie Etta Shutt  Furman.  She was a member of Mercer Baptist Church in Powderly, Ky. and was a clerk for Milligan’s Pharmacy from 1978 to 1986.  She was a homemaker and babysitter and she loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working in her vegetable garden and flower garden.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 56 years  Kenneth (Preacher) Kennedy, sisters Ginny Case, Sylvia Mayes, Jessie Welborn, Dorothy Russell.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon April 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Gary’s Funeral Home Greenville, Ky. by Rev. Scott McIntosh and Rev. Tommy Stovall.  Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery Powderly, Ky.

Son Jerry (Patty) Kennedy of Powderly, Ky.
Grandchildren Cammie (Rev. Scott) McIntosh  and Jason (Lori) Dickinson
Great-grandchildren Presley McIntosh, Jacob Dickinson, Justin  Dickinson
