MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Donnie B. Watkins, 62, of Beechmont, KY passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9:40AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Watkins was born May 30, 1950 in Muhlenberg County. He was an insurance salesman and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his eleven grandchildren. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Watkins; father Jesse Watkins; and sister Judy Childers.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Perry Watkins; children Kristin Tatum of Lexington, Donnie (Holly) Watkins II of Louisville, Kristy (David) Chappell of Greenville, and Donald (Jessica) Garrett Jr. of Greenville; grandchildren Alex, Chloe, Cooper, Chandler, Garrett, Ty, Gavin, Lance, Amanda, Michael, and Presley; brother Rev. James (Rhonda) Watkins; sister Doris Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Scott Casebier officiating, assisted by Jimmy Watkins. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
