blueskyMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - G.W. Brigance, 82, of Belton, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013 at 12:55PM at his home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Brigance was born June 22, 1931 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and farmer, and a member of Myers Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ora Mae Brigance; daughters Lavonda (Ed) Mallory of Dunmor, Patricia (the late David) Scott of Belton, Rita Johnson of Port Charolett, FL, and Lisa (Scott) Mellencamp of Bowling Green; son Kerry (Robin) Young of Belton; son-in-law Mike McIntosh of Dunmor; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother Neil (Vonnie) Brigance of Owensboro; sisters Narine Davis of Belton and Martha (Bill) Grisby of Greenbrier, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Burial in Myers Chapel United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
