obit-sunrisetreeMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Ralph Wayne Bethel, 72, of Greenville, Ky passed away suddenly Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 9:48AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. He was born in Greenville on April 25, 1941 to the late Roosevelt and Evelyn Evitts Bethel. He worked for Marvel Industries and also the Muhlenberg County Road Dept. before becoming disabled. He was of the Baptist faith, and was a member of Duvall's Chapel General Baptist Church. He enjoyed raising strawberries and gardening, but his greatest joy was spending time with his two grandsons, Zack and Spencer. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Ben Bethel.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Bethel; children Doyle (Vickie) Bethel of Greenville and Stacey (David) Turner of Greenville; grandsons Zack Bethel and Spencer Turner, both of Greenville; sister Linda Fay (Jack) Threlkeld of Owensboro; and brother Johnny (Linda) Bethel of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 2, 2013 at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Walter Evitts officiating. Burial in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
