MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. - Harold Franklin Clark, 88, of Bremen, Ky passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 12:48 p.m. at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Clark was born August 16, 1925 in Muhlenberg County. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving during World War II, and he was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of Shavers Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. Clark was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post 6, Railroad Society, and he was a lifetime member of 40 & 8. He also was a Ky Colonel. He loved horses and farming, and his constant companion was his little dog, Smokey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Bessie Clark; eight sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Clark; daughters Suzanne (Howard) McPherson of Belton and Lana Marie Igleheart of Bremen; son Darryl Franklin Clark of Bremen; grandchildren Chasen Clark Igle-heart, Toni Marie Clark, Danielle Clark, and Mandi Sue Clark; sister Lillian (Jim) McNatton; brother Sam (Ann) Clark, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
