MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY - Ruby Mallory born on Thursday to Homer Smith and Ora Bradley Smith at Beech Creek, Muhlenberg Co. Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband Forest Mallory, Sr. and son Forest (Butch) Mallory, Jr., one sister and two brothers. Ruby, Mother, Momma, Grandmother, Grammer, G G, Mrs. Mallory, Miss Ruby, however you knew her, you knew her love was without reservation. She loved her family, her Lord, her community and county and all people. She was a lifelong member of the Greenville First Baptist Church, Young at Heart, Eastern Star-Madeline, Chapter #64, Elizabeth Campbell Russell Chapter of the DAR. She worked for more than 20 years at the Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Because of her boundless love, she traveled to all parts of the world on mission trips. She loved art and was an amateur painter. Her love of history and historic preservation was a theme throughout her life. Our Mother loved all people.
She is survived by her three children, son, James L. Mallory (Paula) Lexington, KY; Daughter, Martha Jean Mallory Hutts (Lee) Wilmington, DE; Daughter, Nancy Carolyn Mallory Moore (Fred) Greenville, KY. Six Grand Children: Tammy Wright (Larry Duncan) Greenville, KY. John M. Moore, Greenville, KY Scott Mallory, Henderson, NV, Anna Rachel Hutts, Wilmington, DE, Brian Mallory, Lexington, KY, Eric Hutts (Beth), Newark, DE. Six Great Grand Children, Logan Wright, Autumn Duncan, Michael, Gideon, David Hutts, and Charlie Hutts, and is survived by two brothers Homer T. Smith and M. V. Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral is Saturday afernoon at Gary’s Funeral Home, Greenville, KY at 1:00 p.m. on 7 December, 2013. Visitation is Saturday at 10 AM till funeral time with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Greenville, KY.
